I have 90k on mine. Here's my issues:
1. Replaced turbo 2 times for smoking issues at about 25k mile intervals
2. Shocks and Struts all blown out at around 70k
3. VVT actuator just went last week at 90k
All in all I'm unhappy with the car and plan to sell it as soon as I get new shocks /...
So if this is the VVT actuator is it going to hurt the car if I drive it for a couple days before getting it fixed? Any idea on how much this costs? I'm not under warranty any more. 90k.
A new issue has popped up with my 90k mile ms3. Every time I start the car now it hesitates and takes a few turns to start and once started makes a very disheartening clicking noise for a second or a few seconds. It sounds horrible. The first time I heard it I thought I threw a rod but after...
Your shifter weight could be hitting your cold air intake. Put it in third gear and take a look under the hood to see it it hits. This heppened to me after the bolt at one of the CAI mounting points broke. Just a thought.
I haven't replaced them yet because of the cost. I plan to get Koni yellows in the near future on all four corners though. For now I've just been dealing with the horrible sounds the car makes as well as the rediculous sag that occurs in the back end when I lay into the gas pedal.
Blown shocks. Look to see if there is oil leaking out of the shock bodies. I would bet there is. Mine blew at about 72k and go clunk clunk clunk over bumps. Started with just the back left and within probably 5k miles it was both back shocks and the front drivers side strut.
So I somehow cracked my front bumper and broke my undertray off. Does anyone know where I can buy a new undertray / splashtray and the side things that hold it on (the parts that bolt inside the fenders and hang down to bolt to it)? I called Mazda and its like $400 plus for the three parts...
Mine are blown and make the clunking noise in back. Check to see if oil is leaking out of them. I'm sure it probably is. You can have that replaced under warranty probably.
Nitto NT555 extreme. I have 225/40/r18 and I think I got them for like 120 bucks a piece through discount tire. They have better grip than stock, last at least two and a half times longer and look pretty decent too. I went through the stock tires in about 4 months and have had the Nittos on...
