Go to RockAuto and get the belts and tensioner. Buy the INA tensioner, which is the company that supposedly makes them for Mazda. Then find an independent garage to install all of it. Or look at Youtube videos to see how it's done. It's not difficult.

Finally diagnosed with a bad no 4 ignition coil. I have a new coil and tried swapping g with no. 1 cinder last night, but did not follow through with trying the other cylinders. Shame on me. But an astonished that such a sever miss wouldn't trigger a P0304 code and set the check engine light.

Against my own better judgment, I pit another set of plugs in this morning and it didn't change a thing. Then drove the car to a reputable shop to be assessed, etc.

Perhaps I will try that route.

I have an appointment at a dealer on Wednesday. The perplexing thing is that as soon as you restart the car. all but the miss seems to clear up.

Chevron gas treatment was added about a month ago. and the battery was replaced last weekend. Oh, and that flashing check engine light and steady TPMS and ABS lights situation happened again tonight. Car dramatically lost power. Pulled the car over and re-started it and all of the warning...

Car has 111k. Plugs and coils changed due to parts cannon being thrown at it last summer based on P0300 code coming on intermittently. Finally a can of CRC Intake Vakve cleaner was used and the code went away. But now, no matter how much stumbling you cause to occur, no codes.

I won't have access to the car again for at least another week. I'll post more when I have more information to share.

Only scanned for all codes. Hard to trouble shoot without a code as a starting place.

2015 2.5L Under moderate or more throttle at speeds above 40, the car stumbles. Once throttle is backed off to stay at a given speed, everything is fine. There are absolutely no codes set. Plugs were replaced about a year ago with NGK Ruthenium and all 4 coils were replaced at the same time...

I will have access to the car in about 2 weeks, as it's due for an oil change. I will look to see if there is anything obvious regarding the ground and go from there. Am also more than happy to just go ahead and replace the battery.

The battery was tested at Advance Auto. I don't know what type of tester they have/use. It's my daughter's car, and I wasn't present when it was checked out. The battery was purchased just under 3 years ago.

Spark plug replacement is called for at 40,000 miles on the turbo engine IIRC. And if you have any mechanical skills at all, they can be done in a matter of minutes. You can buy them from Rock Auto for way less than what the dealer charges. Get NGK Iridium or Ruthenium. Had a free oil change...

New issue, and may be totally unrelated. My daughter said that the backlighting for the AC controls did not come on the other night. Only happened once.
