From what I've been hearing, it's the cat that bolts right to the exhaust manifold. I'll take a pic of it when I get a chance and post it up. Shipping is fine. I don't expect you to deliver it to me.

So it looks like the pre-cat on the wife's P5 is toast. If anyone has theirs sitting around who doesn't need/want it, I'm willing to buy. Let me know the damage and hopefully I can swing it. This is a bad month to have to replace this but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

I might be totally screwed though. A few of them were half stripped before I even touched them. I did read something online about possibly using a square bit if they're stripped enough to fit one in. I'll definitely try that first. Do you remember which screws you bought as replacement...

I need the screws that hold #1 into the tank. I'm going to have to destroy the current ones to get them out.

You just have to find a shop where you're confident they know what they're doing. I've been going to this one place for a while for the more complicated stuff and I trust them to do the job right. It's also a Napa authorized shop so the work is warrantied for 6 months. Easy stuff I do myself...

Yeah, we just bought ours not too long ago. Early August I think it was. Sounds like yours is almost the same as ours. Classic red with sunroof, ABS, and side airbags. Ours is automatic though. Wife isn't too comfortable with 5 speed. We may have to meet up for a mini photo shoot or something.

Mileage just flipped over to 98K this weekend. It's an auto unfortunately, she gets too nervous with stick. Dealer price was $8400, then we got $2700 for her trade, so the final price was $5700.
