What have you done to your Miata today?

Mike, did you use the clip type?
These.

Washed and waxed my baby. I also finally used the 303 soft top treatment kit that I bought last year.

I used the cleaner that comes with the kit the day before so that the top was nice and dry for the second step. I thought that my top looked pretty good even before cleaning and treatment but it looked even better after cleaning and fantastic after the treatment. Nice and black and looking like new! I used a foam roller to apply the treatment.

Went a spring “romp” with local Miata group About 40 cars, 4 groups of 10....did around 200 miles....day couldn't have been nicer! 80, 38% humidity.....awesome roads through middle of the state. Great lunch, fried clams at Kimballs, ice cream at Johnson’s dairy bar. Left at 9 walked in the door at 5....back which has been bothersome did great! time for a nap!

Looks like you had a great time Mark!

Today, I washed it in prep for an evening run to get ice cream. Tomorrow is a longer run with a picnic lunch and then more ice cream. Mmmm

Yesterday, I used Hyperdip for the first time. It was sooo easy. I dipped the emblems gloss black to compliment the wheels. After prepping them, I did three light tack coats followed by seven wet coats. I waited 20 minutes inbetween wet coats for it to dry and then 90 minutes before removing the excess.

Busy weekend.

Got my 2nd shot Friday. Sat was tired and running hot and cold. Fine on Sunday. 1st shot was AstraZeneca and 2nd was Moderna.

Saturday replaced the rear muffler and found one of the rear swaybar bushings was shot and replaced it.

Ready for track evening tomorrow at Calabogie.

Looks good Mark.

Been there too Bruce, that second shot knocked me on my butt for a day. I also had no idea that you could mix-n-match the shots.

Weird, I just heard that you could mix them…I literally no reaction except pain in the area of the shot. Maybe already having Covid had something to do with it

Went to the track last night and what a drive. We had 3 30 min sessions and not one issue cropped up. 1st session was to get used to the track again, hadn't driven there in 2 years, and see how all the mods held up.

Pushed much harder on the second session and had a blast. The new CSF rad kept the car cool. With the stock rad it would run up to 220 after 15 mins. The CSF kept temps under 185 the whole time.

New Hawk HPS pads and stock rotors were amazing. No fade and the would haul the car down from 105 MPH on the straights and down into a fading off camber turn with no issue every lap.

Running new RPF1's 17x9 with Hankook RS4's had tons of grip with no fading after hard laps.

After the last session she was still cool and running well. Not bad for a car with 185k miles on her.

Looking forward to the 1st autox session this weekend.

That is some good stuff Bruce! That CSF rad seems to be well worth the wait. I don't remember, did you install the Moroso aluminum coolant tank too?
