Hello! Thank you for giving us an opportunity to get you a quote on our last remaining 2020 CX5 GTR AWD in stock.

Please let me know if you'd like to move forward with the purchase of this CX5 GTR!

Any suggestion?
Double check that there is not another DOC fee on top. Often they won't include those or misc admin fees in their 'final sales price', but yes, that's more than a decent deal

Last November, 2013 Touring, 82,000 miles, SUPER clean, full documentation of everything ever done to it (even including wiper blades!): $9500.

General question. Will I get a better deal if I get a loan vs. paying cash? Any penalty for paying off the entire amount in a month or two?
Depends on the loan.
0%/low rate, No.
Market rate, yes, decent rebate.

Many/most state laws require no prepayment penalty for auto loans. Check you state laws.

If you wait a couple of months to prepay, the salesman/dealer will get their bonus for selling the high-rate loan.

I’d say, if you must finance, arrange pre-approval with a Credit Union. Then you can compare what the dealer offers for a cash sale to any “special” financing they offer.

Greetings to all,

I am in the market shopping for a 2020 GTR preferably because dealers might reduce the price on a 2020 inventory if they have any.
However it does not seem to be the case and very few budge. I would be grateful if you can tell how much you paid for your Grand Touring Reserve (Out of the door price) , if there was trade in. I understand sales tax varies by region, but a breakdown will definitely give me some guidance.
May be you can start from the Sticker Price/MSRP to what you actually ended up paying. Thanks in advance.

Would love to receive feedback on the 1st proposal I have received, as I have not bought a car in 12 years!!

Crazy deal. Buy it quick but double check doc fee and miles on the odo.

They said 6 miles on the vehicle, but other dealers said this is registered as a service/loaner vehicle, hence it is being sold at this price. I am confused as how to confirm miles on ODO.

Just ask the dealer to txt a pic of the odo.

Why would other dealers have any clue on the use of that car not in their inventory. A vehicle is brand new until registered and titled to a consumer for the fist time. It cannot be sold as new if it was previously titled.

make that 9.8% off MSRP. ((Selling Price + DOC)/MSRP) - 1.00 = -.098

They quoted the sale price as $34000 plus tax, tag and fees

Any suggestions?
They link you gave shows $34,550 so I'm assuming they gave you a different quote. Either way, to that add $799 DOC (per their own website) makes it $34799. - 14.2% off MSRP - Most excellent bases on reports here. But make sure that they're not adding Paint Guard/VIN etching/Fabric Shield/window tint for another $1,200.

@hal2 The sales manager said will take $500 off hence it was 34,000. They are not budging on the price. I will end up another 3K with tax and registration, besides the fact that I might have to fly to ORL to pick up my car. Is this a good deal?

>paying a "doc fee" in addition to the title and registration

You actually fell for that BS? Oof. You know that's just pure profit out of your wallet and into theirs, right? It's a completely BS and made up number. You should never, ever agree to pay that horsecrap.

Still a good price even with the DOC

Yes a DOC fee is profit. But it would be the same as if they didn't charge you the DOC but kept the sales price that much higher. Also, it's near impossible to negotiate the DOC fee out, you can only negotiate the price lower.
