Well, it's either the water pump or the timing belt tensioner/idler pulley. Either way, I have to take half the engine apart (it seems like it anyway). There's a bit of a whine coming from that area. Heh, it's gotten so loud that it sounds like a super charger under throttle (kind of cool). Anyway, since it'll be apart, I'll be replacing all three anyway as well as the timing belt and cam and crank seals. I'm just not looking forward to doing the work since the car has the short nose crank (which seems to be fine as of now) and I hate to mess with a good thing. Oh well, just thought I'd share my upcoming weekend project, heh.
