Torque rating on 2.5L engine

:
2014.5 CX-5 GS FWD 2.5L
Just a little trivia question............. Why is the torque rating on the 2.5 different between the FWD and AWD?
Is there something actually diff in the engine, intake, or is it computer driven?
Hp are the same on both @5700rpm.

Torque is 185 on both.............FWD @ 3250 rpm..................AWD @ 4000 rpm.

Specs listed in sales brochure and also Mazda website
Could not find on website. Spec section only lists 185 @3250 for 2.5. Reason I ask is that I have only seen max torque @4000 for 2.0. My understanding was that larger motor generates max torque at lower rpm, which is a typical scenario regardless of what drive train it's coupled with. On the other hand, it's not uncommon for manufacturers to tune engines differently for automatics or manual trannys, so I guess what you say is possible. However I would think Mazda would tune the 2.5 for more grunt at lower rpm with AWD, rather than the other way around.

The link above is mazda canada, it's listed on line 5.

I also thought the lower rpm would be better with the AWD.
