Questions about Tires in Snow and Off Road

Thinking aboout a CX-5 and I have two questions about the tires. The aspect ratio on the Touring and Grand Touring is 55; the Sport stock tires have a higher sidewall with a 65 aspect ratio. Can anyone speak to performance in snow and light (not rock crawling, just loose dirt, gravel, mud) with the low-profile 55 tires? thanks

a lower profile tire for offroading normally means less side wall flex. For your use case (not rock crawling) this side wall flex should not impact your desired performance. Picking the correct all season or even better all terrain or mountain terrain tire will yield best results.

Not related to traction, but remember, a lower tire sidewall places the wheel closer to dirt and rock and provides less wheel protection from vicious bumps and potholes.Ride quality can be harsher too.
