Referred to as a “plate seal” at the link below, but I can’t tell what it actually does. I noticed the one on the right side of my 3 hatchback hanging loosely and it looks like the screws it’s supposed to be mounted on are rusted to the point the tightening nuts fell off. So what’s the story with this part, should I order a replacement or is it not necessary? Or, I guess the part isn’t the issue so much as the screws being rusted. Thanks in advance for any info.
