OEM Factory Alarm

Hi guys, my 2002 P5 came with the factory aftermarket market alarm (code alarm) and i plan on installing an alarm/remote starter combo. I was wondering how hard is it to uninstall the alarm currently in there? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Very easy, It plugs/unplugs inline in the main wiring harness under the dash/steering wheel area. Look up under there and you should see the alarm box and maybe also another shock sensor smaller box. You unplug alarm from harness the plug harness back into itself. A few other wires - There should only be 1 brown, IIRC, wire going to parking lights and 2 wires going to LED indicator on dash somewhere & 2 going to the bypass tiny black button hidden under the dash near steering column.
