I am sure there will be some owners who decide to get MZD Connect 2 installed in there MZD Connect 1 vehicles
Yes, if I can retrofit to get AA, I will.

Got a response from Mazda Australia Social Media Team that said Mazda Corporation is working with Google re how Android Auto can be introduced for Oz land but no further info at this time.
I read an article on the recent Toyota announcement to include CarPlay in their cars. News out this week suggests that Toyota and Lexus in Australia won’t be getting it in the 2018/2019 model cars. And there is no time frame for a local release. So chances are we won’t get anything from Mazda either here any time soon.

Seems like 2018 and 2019, crappy part is it seems it might be something you have to pay extra for, vs download onto a USB stick-type upgrade.
"Starting this fall, those current owners, if their car or SUV is equipped with the Mazda Connect system, will be able to purchase a retrofit kit as a Mazda Genuine Accessory. That includes the 2014 Mazda3 right up to the 2018 Mazda6, which will go on sale this spring."

Skeptical. Shouldn't every article have that info?
Edit/ Thank you
Someone on Reddit hacked a 17 with the cable setup to add AA.

Did the hack today and put it on my car.
I gotta admit one thing: it is nice having a reason to actually use the voice activation button on the steering wheel. [emoji38]
