Mazda5 wheel swap question

Hi folks. Is it possible to fit Mazda5 GT wheels ie alloys onto a 2015 Mazda5 GS that has 16in alloys? Think the GT earlier models have 17inch. Thanks.

I am pretty sure the 16 inch wheels with 205/55 tires are freely interchangeable with 17 inch wheels with 205/50 tires.

Yes. Mazda 3, 5, and 6 wheels/tires are all interchangeable without issue as long as you're looking at 16"+. 15" wheels do not fit Mazda5 due to brake clearance.

Yes, I put 17" wheels from a contemporary Mazda6 on my 5, they're slightly wider at 7" vs 6.5 but the offset mostly accounts for this. Tires wider than 205 on the 7" wheels may rub on one of the inner wheel well plastics slightly when the steering wheel is fully turned - this happened with the old tires on the 17" wheels before I replaced them, and they were 215s I think.

Those are good looking wheels. I had them on my 2004 Mazda 6s and do remember that they have a crazy 60mm offset. 215 tires would be nearly half an inch closer to the inside of your vehicle. 205s is a good choice to resolve that.
