Mazda2 Windscreen Washer Problem [now resolved]

I have a problem with the front washers on my Mazda2. There is a similar problem listed in a Mazda3 thread which didn't have a conclusion. The front wipers work ok which means the shared fuse is good, when rear washers activated there is a battery voltage at the pump but no voltage when the front washers are switched on.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Turned out to be an ID 10T error! Realise now that you pull the multifunction switch towards you and not lift it. At least I know how to remove the bumper now. Doh.
