Lowered CX-5 Appreciation: Show me your drop!

we see from the photo in post #137 above a part number for EIBACH

11 55 021 03 RA

I will assume: E11-55-021-03-22

My current research only shows a part number similar

2.0 AWD [118kW/160HP] E10-55-021-03-22
2.0 [114kW/155HP] E10-55-021-03-22
2.0 [121kW/165HP] E10-55-021-03-22

@MazdaGLD

can you confirm your CX-5 year, model and the EIBACH sprint part number ordered?

- LED Doorplates.
- Mazda LED Logo door lights (ground projector)
- Mazda Dealer Bodykit.

That is the best looking CX-5 I have seen.

just had the car aligned last night and it feels great! Set to -1 degree camber all around. Tight on turns. Feels like I’m driving a compact and not a suv. Love it.
Stock shocks, Corksport springs and the Godspeed camber arms(you’ll need them!)

Corksport Springs for 2014. Stock dampened for now. Checking options for dampeners. 25mm spacers on stock 19's. Have some new wheels on the way that are +35 offset 19x8

Some new pics, have a little carbon hatch tail spoiler. It's settled and lowered a bit more, roughly a 5 inch drop from stock 😮 but love how it handles.

Loving this thread guys! I’ve had my GTR for about 4 months now and I’m ready to upgrade the suspension.. what would you guys recommend if I go with coilovers? Been looking at these... would I need the rear camber arms or anything else to install these smoothly?

I've never heard of that brand, so I can't offer any insight. See if you can find reviews (ideally from other 2nd gen CX-5 owners with these coilovers installed) on their website, or maybe on other car-specific forums. One thing I've noticed after shopping for coilovers when I was younger is that a lot of it is hit or miss, and it really depends on what you're after (comfort or sportiness, for example).

Toe and camber adjustment upgrades will depend on how much you plan to lower the car. Lowering (or raising) the suspension by an inch or so usually won't affect the camber enough to warrant an upgrade, but if you're thinking about 2" or more, I would recommend it. Some people simply throw 3" lowering springs on their vehicles without upgrading any other suspension components, and paid for it a couple of years later (in new tires and component replacement).

Do you know if the camber arms apply to 2020 models?

the arms give you a lot of room for adjustment. You have to drop the subframe to install them. Easier to just do it when you get the springs installed. I’d say just order and install
Thanks man. I know I have the KF chassis. It’s a 2020 but the specs on the camber arms say only up to 2019. I should be fine right?

Some of these dropped CX-5s look really good. I put a full WRX suspension on my first Forester, it looked great but I hated the ride so I swapped it back.

These look like so many other "Ebay" coilovers. I'm not saying they are the bad Chinese cheap coilovers .. just the company website reads / looks like so many other drop ship sites on the internet. Basically a person can get their logo slapped on a product and then dropped shipped as their own to your house. Here is a very simple search.. I'd imagine with 10 minutes of looking I could find the exact ones featured on the page:

Official company website:

they have a 24 month limited warranty.. so I guess that is something.

but reading it really is a 3 month warranty.. buyer beware.

as a new owner.. you will want to check this resource out:

search 'suspension' in that document

For $1000, you can get some better known coilover sets imho. I'm one of those, who has just thrown in a 3-1/4" drop, but I also made my own lateral links, that compensated for camber. Some, back then were against it, but I'm still OK with them, after many many miles.

Ride is not for the faint hearted for sure, but I still prefer it, then to sit that high and have that big gap. Recently, I have installed Koni Yellow Sport struts.

settling = torn bushings (or more stressed, which will eventually tear), unless you for sure went around and loosened all the control arm bolts, and torqued them back to spec at the new ride height.

What suspension did you go with? I’m hearing people say they barely notice a difference vs stock on how it handles so I wonder how it really rides on BC racing coils 🧐
