How do I remove the cupholders? Phone got eaten

Hey all, first post but lurk on occasion and now I'm in a situation. My wife's phone slid into the gap of the cup holder lid, the only way to get to it is to dismantle something and I'm assuming it's just the cupholder and not the whole console. Any help would be great, thanks.
