2013~2016 CX-5 Jerky when stopping

I own a 2015 CX-5 with a 100K km (automatic transmission). A couple of times when I was attempting to stop...from 50 km/hr - 0 km/hr it felt like the car was trying to push me through the stop sign. It was difficult to stop and the motor almost stalls. If it was a standard, it was like stopping without pushing in the clutch. Has anyone seen this?

My 2014 touring doesn't do this. I did do it a few times when I accidentally was on the brakes and accelerator together.
