CX-5 Accessory must haves?

If you use aspartame AKA Equal, Nutrasweet, Tang, diet soda, etc your'e absorbing a lot more methanol as well as other toxic substances than you will from hand sanitizer.
A more balanced report https://www.vice.com/en/article/nzpbkx/the-story-of-how-fake-sugar-got-approved-is-scary-as-hell Since I don't plan to live more than a few more years, I personally don't worry about it but my kids, grand and great grand kids don't use it in any form.

2013 CX5 GT and 2014 Mazda 6 owner here.
Here is the list of neat accessories that I love:
- a silicone keyfob cover -- protects the keyfob and helps me to separate my skyblue cx5 from soulred 6: https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned) https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned)

-a pair of small blindspot mirrors https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned)
-an extra-large rearview mirror -- I have two kids. This one is the best: https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned)

-door guards. We park two cars side-by-side in a double garage. I was tired of kids and other people slamming doors into the car or a wall or a metal shelf. Door edge guardsis the solution - they look great, easy to install, and do the jobhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q1YW312

I also added to one side these since I got them for free after I tried to return them --in order for them to work you have to be hitting the same spot with your door -- works in our garage on one side with metal shelves. https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned)

All these accessories are relatively cheap and make a huge impact for the buck.

I also have dashcams on both cars, but they are generic and you should shop for the cam including the variables that are important for you.
Oh, I also got a second set of wheels for winter -- I found the best way for me was to go with Ebay -- $70-80 a piece, including shipping. These junkyards that sell wheels test the wheels and guarantee them for 30 or 60 days; money back if bent or not holding the air --- something that private sellers won't offer. Thx looks great. Are these better than a rubber oem liner?
I personally don’t feel the need for this soft cargo liner. I have OEM rubber cargo tray but I‘ve seen people bought both OEM rubber cargo tray AND OEM soft cargo liner.

Our older CX-5 has a generic rubber tray liner and an Ergotech pet barrier in back, a necessity for the dogs. But we opted for the factory cargo carpet mat and bumper guard on our newer one, which I really prefer.

I have to fold the seats down and fill up it up with boxes bound for UPS too often to want to deal with the lip on a tray getting in the way of sliding them all the way forward. We don't carry anything in that car that could leak... and we don't do mud unless it's with the dogs in the other one. Plus, it looks so much better!

I have the OEM rubber cargo mat and have been very pleased with it. I keep a couple of those Harbor Freight mover's blankets in the back for times when I want to protect the rear bumper or other parts of the interior from any cargo that I may be carrying. I think they were about $6 each with a coupon.

Depends on your budget and needs. I am the odd man out here for sure. I bought them both. I placed the one pictures on first and dropped the rubber on top of it. I get the protection on the back of the seats and bumper i wanted for my dogs, and the durability/moisture catching of the thick rubber. I do a lot of outdoor things, to include the bead; plus dog stuff. So this combo worked better for me than other options out there.

Thanks, looks like an interesting solution for when we haul bags of mulch and planter mix

I also opted for the soft cargo liner since I usually have the center and left rear seat down for my dog. I purchased the pre-cut interior kit from xpel and will be installing it this weekend, will be looking for pre-cut pillar ppf next.

Too bad the Tuxmat isn't still available for the 2016 CX-5. It goes around the gas pedal as well making it easier to clean. They tell me the 2017 and up won't fit the 2016. Anyone know of a similar type?

Here's the Tuxmat link to see it: https://www.tuxmat.com/products/360-mazda-cx-5-custom-mat?variant=28552809971772&year=2017
Yes, like ilal2ielli said above, this Canadian OEM Premium Floor Liners for gen-1 CX-5 is the best liners you can find and fits your requirements.

Just a brief update on cleaning these:

Mine were COVERED in road salt and dirty snow meltings and all other sorts of detritus for a few weeks before it got warm enough I could hand wash the car again (in one of the commercial self-serve bays).

I hung these mats up and hit them with the high-pressure rinse and they were looking brand new in a matter of seconds. A half sheet of Bounty was all it took to completely dry them and put them back in the car.

Meanwhile, no snow or mud got underneath the mat; not even around the gas pedal. I needed maybe 30 seconds to run the car vacuum around the driver’s side floor. Carpet still looks brand new.

Could not be happier. Love these things!

So, you got the one from Mazda that is soft and sort of shapeless, and attached that first, and then added a fitted all weather mat on top of that for the floor? I have a German shepherd that sheds a lot, still trying to figure out the best arrangement. I hate vacuuming dog hairs off the original carpet mat!

I have these same liners in my Gen 2 (2018) which I got from my (Canadian) Mazda dealer.
You find it still gets really messy to the right of the gas peddle? Trying to find one for the driver's side that covers that area as it's very tricky to clean.
