Corksport has CX5 2017+ lowering springs now

These look pretty nice. I'm currently running Eibach but thinking of switching over since these appear to be another 1 inch lower than the Eibach I have.
 
I think, that this is the right drop for these SUVs. The H&R, Eibach and the CS (for the first gen) springs are not enough, or too much of a drop.

that does look good, are you switching?
 
might check out why CorkSport might not be a great option.. no matter how they look - how they perform is a better metric -- unless your vehicle stays parked.

Jury is still out on the CorkSport springs for the 2017+ CX-5 (does anyone here have them installed yet?).

The CorkSport springs for the 1st gen CX-5 are a more aggressive drop, and would require proper struts paired with the springs for ideal performance. If you pair a spring that lowers the car by 3"-4" with the OEM strut that is valved specifically for the OEM springs, you're bound to run into issues.

The new springs for the 2nd gen CX-5 do not lower the car as much, but the same principle still applies. If you upgrade the springs, you should - but aren't required to - upgrade the struts/shocks as well. If paired with the OEM shocks/struts, they will suffer more abuse than they are designed for and will wear prematurely.

Now, with that said, here's what CorkSport says on their product page:

"While it may sound like a lot, the 17% stiffer front springs and 32% stiffer rear springs ride great and fit well with the OEM dampening, while providing more feedback to the driver for extra confidence and control at the lower ride height."

This implies that you don't have to upgrade your OEM shocks/struts to use these springs. Either way, probably best to find out what CorkSport recommends by contacting them directly.
 
I have the first gen CS springs and recently I have replaced my struts with Koni Yellows. I did not notice much of a difference. I have to confess, that I don't know how to adjust them properly, though.
I had the original struts on for 65k and to me, after having these new ones on the car, I can say that they were still holding up quite well.
 
Just placed the order for these springs. Wondering if you guys think the camber arms are really necessary.

It's tough to say.. usually I like to wait and see what the internet says about alignments on X car after installing X springs, but given that the CX-5 doesn't sell as well as other cars (and the CorkSport springs were just released), available info is going to be really sparse.

Given the lack of info, I would get the springs installed, then get an alignment and post the results. Worst case scenario, you have to pay for the additional labour for camber arm install (if you don't DIY) and you'll also have to pay for a second alignment.

The other option is to also order the camber arms and wait to install everything at once, then get an alignment done. I've never done a DIY alignment, but that is also an option (there are some guides on youtube).
 
and remember for the cost of 2 alignments.. you can get the lifetime alignment from Firestone

$20 off coupon .. should bring the price to about ~180.00 or so.

I've purchased that on my 2007 FJ Cruiser in Texas in 2008. I used it every ~6 months since then (I offroad it a LOT) and I have never had a complaint from them. I moved to Arizona and no squabbles from the Firestone locations here either. Oh and most locations have the updated equipment now so if you have lane departure they can ensure all the systems are aligned / calibrated correctly on the CX-5.
 
Dropped off my car today to get the springs installed. Hopefully have some good before and after pictures soon

Thanks bro! Rides well. Took it straight home but need to stretch it’s legs soon to see if I notice a difference. One of my biggest complaints was the body roll. Let’s see if this made an improvement.

It's great! Feels as comfortable as stock but really tightened up in the corners. Enough of a drop where I’m not scrapping anywhere either. I need to get the car aligned. Hopefully this week.

Thanks! Car still rides great. Going to replace the rear shocks soon. The dust cover is running on the shock body and I want to tighten it up a bit back there. Car was aligned using the Godspeed rear adjustment arms. Left the car in tow spec but cambered at 1degree.
