Continental Crosscontact LX25 Tires

I bought a set of the LX25s last summer so they are relatively new. They aren't noisy like all terrain tires. They are quiet on a smooth concrete highway but they don't do much to muffle the noise of rougher asphalt. I don't know if any tire can do that.

They are probably quieter than most all season tires.

Yeah, I don't think as well there is such a tire :) in ref. to very rough asphalt or whatever they use since sometimes it's not really asphalt.

What is the current best promotion available on Continental LX25's? I don't see anything out there for the month of April 2021.

Also, any thoughts on GOODYEAR ASSURANCE MAXLIFE (which is the #1 recommendation I get from DiscountTire for a daily driver) vs Continental LX25's? The Goodyear has a $50 MIR at DiscountTire, brining the price of LX25 and MAXLIFE to be the same.

I see the local Mazda dealers are running buy 3 get 4th for $1. Doesn't look like they carry Conti though & Michelin look to be excluded. Price for GOODYEAR ASSURANCE MAXLIFE fully installed is $811.12 (tax not included). That's using the 19" my GTR takes. I sometimes deal with a local regional tire franchise who will usually price match those deals. Perhaps DiscountTire does. I've never dealt with them.

Thank you. That’s a good idea. Will try to get a quote from dealer and see if DiscountTire matches it for Goodyear.

Not many car owners interested in Goodyear tires nowadays. The last set of Goodyear tires I bought was back in 1980's!

Judging only by "820 A B" UTQG on Goodyear Assurance MaxLife standard touring all-season tire, it's a shame Goodyear came out an expensive tire with an inferior "B" temperature rating on UTQG. It's made in Chile, a country we haven't heard much of making tires. I personally would choose either Continental CrossContact LX25 or General AltiMAX RT43 that many forum members prefer over Goodyear Assurance MaxLife.

Here are the specs of some popular 225/55R/19 tires for comparison:

Just FYI, Continental usually offers $70 Visa cash card rebate in summer months. And there's $50 Visa prepaid card on purchasing General AltiMAX RT43 tires between 3/1/2021 ~ 4/30/2021.

You can get a quote from your Mazda dealer, but if I were you I'll never get new tires form a car dealer. Discount Tire / America's Tire will do price match all the time, they even match the online price. They offer free tire rotation and flat repair nationwide with very good Hunter tire installation machines. Further, they will urge you to get a new set of tires when the tread depth is down to 4/32" and give you mileage credit of unused miles on your existing tires based on warranty immediately towards the new tire purchase of any brand.

My Mazda dealer carries Conti's or at least brings them in as I saw advertisements for the brand in the service area last week. But, it's a Canadian dealer.

My dealer sold me LX25s. It wasnt part of that special though. I paid $205/tire+ tax. Got the alignment for $99, install and balance and disposal for $90ish, and lifetime free rotations and 2 year road hazard warranty from them. Total bill was $1120 with tax, as I recall. Not bad when you consider that 2 years road hazard=lifetime of the tire.
