Can one turn on the front And rear defrost before activating the auto start?

Not with the MyMazda app, at least as far as I can tell.

If the front defrost is on when you shut off the car, it'll come on when you restart. Rear will not do so though.

Thx. Have not read manual. Yet. Was wondering the advantages of auto start. Do seat warmers stay on, if on when last driven?

And unfortunately it is the rear defrost that also controls the heated mirrors and wipers.

Seems like a faulty scenario. Front and rear defrost and heated seats should be a must.

You would think these would at least be options in the app if not put on automatically. And my 2012 Chevy Sonic automatically puts on the rear defroster with autostart

I guess the reason the rear defroster resets everytime you turn off the car is because in the early days of the rear defroster people left them on for prolonged periods of time and ended up cracking the rear glass. Not sure if that's a problem anymore but once something is ingrained in the corporate structure it tends to stay that way. It probably still turns off automatically after 15 minutes, I know my Maxima and Honda did.
