2016 CX-5 Door mirror question

Hey guys, new member here. My girlfriend broke the black plastic cover off of her door mirror. It seems like Mazda sells the painted mirror cover only and not the black plastic piece below it. Is my only option to buy the mirror assembly from Mazda or a used mirror? I noticed replacement 13-14 mirrors are super cheap on eBay. Will the black plastic cover from a 13-14 fit a 15-16 mirror? I would think not as there were mirror shake problems on early years that seemed to go away in later years...

Mid year '15 model mirrors are the same as '16s IIRC... LED change
