2014 CX-5 Headlight Swap to 2015 LEDs?

Hey all, sorry if this has been asked before, I'm new here and to the world of Mazda. I have a 2014 Touring and I'm just wondering if the headlights can be swapped out for the 2015/2016 LED ones? They look pretty similar in photos but I'm not sure if it's straight plug n play. Thanks for any help.

I had a 2015 and don't think they were available w/LED headlights. I got mine with the Technology package which included HID headlights, not LED. I thought the LEDs appeared on the 2016 CX-5 in the US?

The GT models had HID projector headlights with LED DRL's. And I've heard of a lot of problems with them on here. Many people having issues with the DRL's going out, or going dim or whatever, requiring replacement, sometimes under warranty but sometimes not. I don't think I would want to waste money on a flaky headlight assembly, personally.

2015 CX-5 has optional HID and
2016 has optional LED headlights. LED Singatue accent stripe DRLs are only available on the 2016, whereas 2015 uses traditional high-beam DRLs even if it comes with the HID.

It’s doable to replace your halogen headlights with 2016’s LED headlights, but the major obstacle for you is the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) which comes with LED and HID headlights. That may require some AFS control modules. And the OEM LED and HID headlight assemblies are going to be very expensive ($800 ~ $1,200 each) because of it.
