I bought a cheap Mazda from my neighbor that has a trans issue. I thought it may be the TCM but that is not the issue. Car has 200k miles on it. I am going to swap the trans out for another one with 125k miles on it. I keep reading that you have to pull the motor to pull the trans out the front of the car. I just want to confirm prior to me doing that. If I can drop just the trans out the bottom that would be a lot less work. On VW's we drop the whole motor and tran with the subframe as a unit out the bottom and put it back in as a sub assembly.
