This is well known among Mechanics, hence for older cars - but things have changed and these are newer cars - Redline works for many cars including manual - being universally compatible concerns me about using it on a 5yr or newer car?
OE Equivalent are BECK/ARNLEY and Aisin - don't see 1 gallon - quart is about $7 (so $28 for a gallon)

Whereas Mazda is $32-$40/gallon Why not use Mazda ATF?
Update:
People used Amsoil and others reported bad smell - might suggest incompatibility too.
It looks to me OE equivalent is cheap - almost the price of Valvoline. What I don't understand is why Mazda ATF is more expensive than Acura/Honda!!!
