    2012 Mazda2 Manual Transmission/Transaxle Gear oil change?

    Just changed the transaxle fluid in my Mazda 2 @ 38.K miles. Drained fluid looked pretty dark. Made a short video that may be helpful to some. Fill and drain plugs are 23mm, I used a 15/16" socket. https://youtu.be/fFITZds6fNQ

    does that one have torque specs? Valve clearances? Valve adjustment procedure? Timing chain replacement procedure? Because that manual looks a lot like the one I bought for $10 USD that doesn't have any of the above. And is more like a 'theory of operation' manual, than a working service manual...

    Getting 12V for visor mounted device

    i tapped into the cigarette lighter for my GPS. But that's only hot with the key on. I later decided to look for a constant hot so my GPS wasn't always rebooting. I found that on the drivers side, under the forward door frame panel. Large gauge red wire. HTH ~Jeffers

    Fuel Gauge Inaccuracy

    it could be they want to protect the fuel injection pump. They're expensive, and can be damaged if run dry. I reset my trip meter @ fill-up, and refuel @ 300 miles. So far 300 miles has always been < 10 gallons.
