I did the oil & filter change on my CX5 but, that is the last time for this 86 year old. I used to get much satisfaction doing it but, this time it was a painful burden. Ed

I hear you. I'm 86 and my mind says it's a simple task that I've done before so how hard can it be- HaHa. I am planning on doing an oil/filter change Sat morning. Maybe I should rethink this plan?

Dealer is playing dumb in my opinion. The dealer has access to more than we do. Ed

If warrantied don't mess with the problem anymore yourself. The dealer can use your "uneducated" attempt to infer you messed it up. You must let it remain THEIR problem. Ed

MAZDA should warrant without respect to millage because of a manufacturing defect. New, or manufactured engine at the least
