After a paint correction, sealant, and carnuba wax...

Nice! Mine needs paint correction badly...

I towed a 20ft./3700 lb. camper trailer some short distances over the summer, so you'll be fine. Hahaha.
Officially the CX-5 is good for 2200 lbs. in Canada/USA. It's in your user manual.

1000 lbs without brakes
2000 lbs with trailer brakes

according to the US manual for the 2017/2018 CX-5

The old Eveready battery factory in Cleveland. It's been repurposed and new homes put up (expensive AF) and there's a new brewery that just opened. Pretty cool area.

Ahh, Canadian manual just says 2200 lbs. if I remember correctly, but I haven't read it in a little.
Over in Europe I'm pretty sure it's something like 3500 or 4000 lbs. Or that's what I thought I saw someone post somewhere. Take that with a grain of salt of course. But they also have different regulations and laws regarding towing.

You know your wife loves her car when she takes her own pics.

Since photo was taken four months ago, got rear ended on freeway (by uninsured young kid) and with only 650 miles, car has been in shop for 2-1/2 months, mostly waiting on Mazda for parts, which apparently are back ordered due to C19 supplier-related problems. Oh well, still have my old SUV to drive and there were no injuries. I’ll get it back soon and it will be new car time again.

Oh man, sorry that happened. I'd hate waiting to drive that nice looking CE!

Ugh! My car is SO coated with road salt and mud and winter road grunge right now! Its hard to be a car guy during central NY winters.
