2016 CX5 GT pillar/ceiling noise

Help! I cannot locate the noise. Seems to come from ceiling/passenger pillar/door. Filmed it, you can hear the toctoctoctoc non stop on bumpy roads, or literally any road. In the video, the phone is resting on the dash (passenger side). The video would not load here, so I uploaded on Youtube

I had this noise on my 2018 CX-5. The noise is coming from the area where the windshield makes contact with the roof inside the cabinet. The noise went away after I placed a rubber weatherstrip in between.

Thanks so much for replying! I took a look inside mine, and I did not quite get what you did to stop the noise. I took a few pictures, could you please guide me a bit? Thanks again for your time and help, I appreciate it!

No problem! There should be a gap where the windshield makes contact with the metal frame. You need to fill in the gap with a rubber weatherstrip. https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned) was the material I used in the photo attachment.

Yes, when driving you can also try pressing your hand firmly against the upper portion of your wind shield and see if the noise goes away. You can pinpoint if the noise is coming from the driver or passenger side before filling in the gap with the weatherstrip. I only did the driver side and noise hasn't come back in 5 months.

Alright! I'm buying something from Amazon, (I'm in Canada, so choices are kind of limited to get it quick), do you think this would work: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0025KUSYG/

The small gap one (quarter of an inch thick).

Thanks again.
