The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

I'm out for tomorrow as well. Looks like I'm going to have some other stuff going on.

Marc's excuse was detailed. You are leaving out details so people can make fun of you

That's fine. :) I'd rather let you guys speculate.

There is still a 9.863% chance I'll be able to go, but I'm not sure yet.

I did order new rotors for the the STI today to go with the Carbotech XP12s I have. NAPA blanks cost $250 for the STI...

Wow, NAPA Know How.......

On another note, my AP V# shipped today as well as my TMIC with the tabs welded on for the shroud.....now, if that El Diablo Feller, can give me an ETA on the wheels, my day will be complete!

I'm a "maybe" tomorrow. If it's raining like the forecast says then no thanks. My tires are pretty much shot but I've got another set in the garage I just need to mount. And I took today off of work because I'm sick.

I'm out. I'm still sick and my vagina hurts. I'm going to stay in bed again and eat soup all day. Stupid cold...

Let's just call this one off...there will be others in the upcoming week. I can save my PTO time.......

Update on Autiinterests May 5th @ Mid-Ohio

Hi Marlon,

Yes, the Dyno Day on the 10th is pretty well full, many thanks!

Mid-Ohio is looking pretty good, I think I am going to shut down novice registration today, we have 27 and I don’t want to take on more than that!

The Intermediate group has about 5 openings and the Advanced/Instructor group still has about 10-15 spots available.

Good deal.

My biggest gripe with AI is accepting more students than they have instructors. Every student should have an instructor in the car with them until they are deemed safe and capable of driving by themselves.

looks like I might be moving to advanced then, less traffic to deal with

Who said we want you in advanced? ;)

This concept is one reason why I've been on the fence about even considering one of their events.

I know I have only done one track day at Mid Ohio with AI but I was really frustrated with the lack of direction and awareness of their surroundings that the people in the Novice group have. They have no concern for the people that are faster than them. I hardly every got the okay to pass or they would get pissed when I would ride them really hard hoping they will see me and give me the good to go to pass
