- 2014 Mazda3 GS + 2013 CX-5 Touring.
Here's my story
My girlfriend bought a brand new 2013 AWD CX-5 Touring in October 2012. The car was amazing. She got all the goodies like screen, bluetooth, fogs, heated seats, cruise control, wheels, A/C, ect.
Maybe around christmas time the problems started to appear.
-The first one was that no air at all would come from the vent system before like 10 minutes after the car was started. The air conditioning system would not work for 10 minutes than all of a sudden would turn on. Pretty bad when the temperature outside is -20 to -30 Celsius.
-The second one was that the air conditioning system would work but do a hell of a noise. Again for 10 or more minutes and then stop.
-The third one is problem at idle. I've found that others had this problem in here. RPM goes crazy for nothing when the car is on idle. 500 to 2000rpm variation. WTH
-Last one to date is a transmission problem appearently. Some posters on here seemed to have the same problem as us. When drinving normaly the check engine light, traction control light and others come on and the car won't accelerate. We have to brake and restart the car and then all the lights that were on are off. This have happen 3 times already. We have an appointment at a Mazda dealer next week. AWD problem they say.
My girlfriend is 20 and she trade her Fiesta for the CX-5. I'm sad for her since this is her first expensive car and she have alot of problems with it. Should not happen with a brand new car (a 45K one...) I didn't have any with my 2011 2 to date
Sorry for my english. I'm french.
Have a nice day
