I checked mine about 2mths after I bought it. Damn f%ckers used long bolts to put the plate on, and it f%ucked the paint up  I havent touched the paint up yet. What have you done about it??

Are you talking about the front or rear tag plate frame?
My tag frame on the rear came with two little rubber pieces at the bottom so it really doesnt even touch the car, for exception of where it is bolted.

Im talking about the rear frame, and where it is bolted. The bolts they used to bolt it to the hatch are to long. The bolts actually screwed into the metal hatch a littel bit. I will be fixing this when I detail my car next month, but does anyone know if the dealer would fix this since it wasnt my fault? I know they probably will blame it on me, but is it worth a try? BTW, the reason im asking this question is because I would rather stay away from the dealer unless I really have to go. :D

Wont hurt to ask...nothing to loose...right ?? :)

Well, thats just the thing. I do have something to lose, my time and my patience. The dealer that I bought my P5 from is great, but they are 60 miles away. The local dealer sucks, which is why I didnt buy my P5 from them. So I know im going to have some BS and alot of wasted time... :D

They probably won't do anything even if it was there fault. They'll just say it's your word against there's and how are they to know that you didn't switch the bolts...etc...all that bs...

Same here -- the bolts they screwed the plate on with were so long that when they tightened them up they screwed right into the paint. I discovered this when I took the plate off to add my license plate cover. I just touched up the damage -- no one's ever going to see it anyway. Fortunately my plate cover was thick enough that the end of the bolts don't touch the paint anymore.

Well, im not really worried about the looks part (since nobody can see it), but im worried rust will soon form, since bare metal is exposed.
