The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

^lol I hate the stupid cell light. I know pull the bulb, but just incase something else goes wrong with her at least I have a little warning (maybe) before zoom-zoom-boom-boom :)
I know some people just cut the stock EGR tube back and clamp one of those cheap breather filters on the end and that gets around the CEL. The CEL is triggered when the EGR valve isn't connected or the EGR boost sensor doesn't detect a change in pressure when the EGR valve is supposed to be open. I personally don't like the breather filter route as even though the EGR valve is supposedly only open at idle I don't like the idea of unmetered air entering the intake. That could trigger the dreaded P0171 (Bank 1, System too lean), which I fought with my P5 for so long. I seriously spent more time tracking down the sources of that damned CEL than I did anything else.

No race ECU available for those cars to eliminate the CEL?? Lol. That's what I did on my neon haha

For about $1000.

Got my rental, a 2012 baby blue toyota camry. It sucks. The interior has about 6 different colors and it's just ugly. They have fake stitching in the trying to look like leather fake dash. The continue the dash design into the door panels but not the trim or "stitching". It just looks poorly and cheaply design. I do however like the size of the interior so if Mazda comes up with a good replacement for the 6 that might be an option for me in the future, but definitly not this car.

Some of you guys might appreciate this: http://www.s2carbonworks.com/siilblandwhs.html

Say what you like, but the owner is doing pretty well for himself. Here's his car, and oh yeah, he tracks it as well.

Are you sure RWB is also the owner of Fatlace and Illest?

edit- Ummm, no. :D

edit again, that's pretty damn funny, Will. That's a car scene I'm not really into. Sneakers, flat fitted caps, low trousers, hip-hop, hellaflush. I'm too old for that s***. Haha

I just signed up to ride 50 miles in this year's Peltonia in August. It's a bike ride where 100% of the donations for riders go to cancer research. More Info Here They have you commit to raise $1250 for the 50 mile ride but I only have to try to raise $650, the other $600 is covered by my work. So I get to be that annoying guy begging people for money. If you would like to donate to my ride you can do so here. I'm also going to put a link in my signature if you want to do it at a later time. My plan is to see if I can get 650 people to donate atleast $1, more is always appreciated.

Thanks,
Nate

Why do I have the feeling this is going to be sausage fest. Um I'm out of a job, but I'll see what I can do. I just got you $5 closer to that goal. Good luck!

And for some reason, they still sell the s*** out of them.

for those of you who were wondering, this is what Doc's car looks like. He wants to fix it, and will be racing a spec piata in the mean time. Josh, do you do frames? or know of someone that does a good job on frames? Doc is looking for a good place\person

Of course I do!

What kind of repair is he looking for? Full blown, put it back to factory stock no matter what it takes/costs, repair? Is it a dedicated race car, where he just needs it "pulled around" so the new body panels will bolt on and line up decently? Is he paying out of pocket, or turning it into insurance?

That's why I was into painting. A car would come in like that or worse and the person doing the write up would always forget to add something and you would have to wait forever to finish the job or remember how to put it back together. I only have a couple cars that are pretty close to being blueprinted in my head and it takes up to much much space on my memory. To bad you just can't delete old random crap in your head. Past anoying girfriends - delete, delete or things that were wrong or didn't make any since, 2+5=8 - delete, and last walking in on your mom and dad (you get the picture :()
