The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'm on the opposite side of Josh on this one, buddy. That's lame. But, you guys have a kid on the way and all that jazz so I understand. Reliability is the priority. But I'm still a little sad. Until I start vulturing your parts... muhahaha...

Sorry to hear that Nate but like Evan said, it's all about the baby and your new family. We won't shun you too much for demodding :D

I haven't decided what to do with parts yet, since I'm not planning getting rid of the msp. I might put up a FS thread but not priced to move cause I may want to try it again in the future.

I say keep the parts in stock. A sort of rainy day fund if you will. Then if you don't have to sell them they will be there in a few years when you are ready to go again, but if times get tough you have a good way to get cash quickly.

that sounds like the best thing to do

Just got out of a small meeting with my boss. Looks like I may be going to Chile at the beginning of January...

Yeah, it is summer down there, so that will be nice. Tentative dates for the trip would be 1/9 - 1/13.

If I followed this though, you wouldn't be able to buy my header or possibly more parts off my car. :P

Sounds awesome!

I hated traveling for work when I was doing a ton of it, now that I do none at all I miss it.

Yeah I like that idea.

My brother is letting me drive his old work truck and the wipers decided they didn't want to work this morning. At least it wasn't raining

Being exiled for 4 months made me say "Man... I'm glad I'm home and hope I don't have to go anywhere for a while." Two months later, stranded in Wyoming for a week. A few months after that, down to Greenville, SC for a couple days (back to back weeks). The moment I say "I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere any time soon" I get hit.

I was there in 6th grade, so it's been a while, but I've got lots of good memories from that trip. I'm sure you'll like it. Are you excited, or is more of "ho hum, they're shipping me off again"?

Edit, missed the post on the last page.

Besides the chances of coming up with the money to re-purchace some of the parts you have on your car after your daughter is born will be slim.

Santiago.

Yes?

True, but that statemant doesn't apply to you.
Wait, besides the header what are you going to take off your car?

Same principal...demodding due to a baby on the way. lol

I'm sure I could come up with a list of parts to sell if I really wanted to. Already taking the intake off for stock, or maybe some kind of SRI setup. Doubt the strut bar is helping me out a whole lot, or the rear sway I bought, since I haven't even installed it yet. I still have Evan's old port and polished/VCTS(or VTCS, whichever lol) deleted manifold I'm trying to sell.

Dude, just because you have a baby on the way does not mean you have to go back to stock.
You know what I just asked my self why de-mod your car because of the baby? Loud exhaust I can understand. The cold air intake not so much. The rear swaybar is only going to improve the handling of your car so I wouldn't sell that (unless you need the scratch) I'd put it on. The intake is up to you, not going to hurt anything to install it.
Different strokes, right.
At the end of the day it is really up to you guys. I am only giving my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions. Haha!
