What have you done to your MSP today?

anybody know the sive of the thottle body? trying to peice together a piping kit so i know what i need. Looked at wagon's how to and he metioned for the hot side into the turbo but nothing for the thottle body. thanks

Oh come on, it says it at least 2 times in that thread.... granted... there are probably 10 pages between each mention. LOL

well i kinda figured it was 2.5 since you didn't mention needing a reducer but just wanted to be sure.

Got my EGR today so hopefully that will fix my check engine light, just if it wasn't so cold or i had a garage to work in.

Bah. ... Reducers... Real men just muscle something way too big into a way too small hole.
Got 2.25" rubber couplers on my maf lol.

I only have one reducer atm. Which is going on the intake cause .75 is a little much of a stretch ha.

lol ass to mouth... sorry you got me thinking about naughty things with cramming big things in tiny holes... yea, its been awhile. :-/

Havent touched my car in days, headlight is out... tried to get the new headlights working but the bulb wont even go on AUGH. but theres salt all over my car it needs a good wash. But there is snow everywhere D:

been a while for me too. every since baby born <_<.... i have one reducer on my intake though 2.25-3" the rest of my couplers are 2.25" rubber, so i just heated them up and stretched them around the maf without much trouble. throttle body was a peice of cake too.

Eventually i will replace all the couplers but they are pretty expensive up here in the great white north. the reducer i got was actually an experiment on shipping rates to canada. paid $15 for it and couldnt tell you the brand name but has 3 layers of reinforcement.
if i were to buy them from our local suppliers id pay at least $35 for anything other than straight couplers.
i wont need many though. most of my pipes are welded.

Mine needs a bath, I haven't washed it since I got it back from the paint shop after being keyed. I've been too busy working to pay any attention to it but also saving so I can finally fix the damn hesitation that drives me ******* nuts.

been meaning to wash mine but every day i say i will and dont, it either dumps a foot of feckin snow or 6-7 inches of rain, flooding my carport.
I love life on the west coast...

i got this in today
aemtruboostcontroller.jpg

gotta put it in tomorrow, ill post pics too of course :)

I've never used the truboost, but I've heard that the solenoid spikes pretty badly. just keep an eye on it and you should be fine.

ok, cool. I just figured it would be higher a chance is you were running high boost. Do you know what causes it to spike?

The solenoid waits too long to allow the pressure through which opens the wastegate, so the boost pressure ends up climbing higher than it "should" before it drops back down to the set boost level.
