Just in the nick of time for the photo contest thread thing.

My salt and pepper macro. I only sneezed once.

That pepper looks kinda nasty.

I'm at work and it's raining outside and it's too dark in here to do anything with it. I took a pic of the fire hydrant down the hall if you're interested in that lol.

ok here are some samples:
they are at ISO 1600 so they're a bit noisy, and I'm starving so they're a bit shaky, and they're at 100% so they are a bit soft. There, now I've said everything you're going to say.

They've also not been touched in any way. (other than cropping)

The last one isn't bad... ISO1600 FTL though. I rarely go above ISO400 cause I can't stand grain... If I need anything beyond that, I'll either compensate somewhere else or not bother with it...

BTW, here are some unedited photos from the Green Day concert last night (That said, the auto ISO was set at 1600... fml):

I just jizzed a little. I have a yearning for Aston Martins.... coupled with tilt-shift and you get pure win.

And shut your grainy mouth, I have yet to throw them through photoshop. It'll look better when I'm done with them! The show rocked by the way... (rockon)

I do love me some green day

that tilt shift got weird all of the sudden. :(

btw, that civic was going about 27 mph in that pic ;)

it's not just grain in sleeper3's pics, it's noise.... its pretty disgusting
my D90 won't do that in that kind of lighting at 1600

Here's one for you guys from my last trip to Florida. Shot with D300 and 18-55VR, f/6.3 @ 2.6sec.

And while you guys are talking about noise in high ISO shots, here's a shot I took last week at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. Shot with D300 and 70-300VR, handheld at 260mm, at f/5.6 with 1/80 shutter speed... at ISO 3200. Oh how I do love my D300. (rockon)
