Ya I thought it looked MUCH better!
What I did was keep a bit of the "smiley face" but made the grill much MUCH smaller. Imagine it with a nice black mesh in there, just a quick 5 min photoshop, nothing special.
Now it looks like a Celica wagon.
But yes it does look better.

The photoshop version looks plain
You guys really want a non-descript box on 4 wheels. (hand)
I've noted many older and newer Matrix/Vibes on the road and don't think the new 3 looks anything like them. Sure there maybe some design details that are reminiscent of those two cars but on the whole the 3 is a design all it's own.
I agree that the MS3 nose looks better than the naturally aspirated version.

It probably could've been a little less W I D E and still worked as well. But its obnoxiousness still pales when compared to the grille.

^ i think the driver inside is making an optical illusion of how small the car is...he looks gigantic in there

seeing that shot of the car im really hating the new eclispse-esque a-pillar design... and those angles with the front fender flares look like ass in my opinion, might just be the angle, either way, im glad im first gen

Haven't posted in this thread in a while, but what the HELL is going on with that grill?!
Edit: It'll be hilarious when people starting buying these and posting on the board. Considering how hostile first gen MS3 owners are to eachother already, I can't wait until the new kids get here.
