my wife has nixxed the boost cut. I get paid next wed, hit me up then if its not sold.. but you know how the whole family responsibility thing goes... ( I wish I wore the pants..)

Atp Boost Cut Defender <---- what does this do?

Google is your friend. Long story short it keeps the ECU from "dropping" boost when you raise the boost above factory specs (using a boost controller or an EMS). It's kind of like pressing *67 to stop caller ID from seeing your number... this stops the boost from being cut off, and keeps it boosting. (but only to a certain point of the factory ECU).

Eliminates the ECU induced "boost-cut" condition when boost on the engine is raised beyond factory stock settings. The module has been designed to bolt on, inline with the factory MAP sensor using the simple hardware provided. No other changes or tweaks are necessary. Works well with both stock turbo with bolt-ons and big upgraded turbo setups.

CAUTION: While we have found that this device works very well with the stock fuel system to retain good air/fuel ratios when boost levels are raised, the factory fuel system does have a limit and can only support so much boost/HP. The peak boost cut limit is almost completely removed with this modification so there will be no safeguard against overboost. You must closely monitor your air/fuel ratio and boost levels upon installation of this device to ensure that you are operating the engine in the safe running zone.

no it does not work like that! it works by bleading air to the map sensor so the computer sees less boost and DONT CUT FUEL!

wait wouldn't that be a fuel cut defender? I've seen stuff for cars by that name.......and i've also seen boost cut defender, so you're saying their both the same thing with a different name? That's retarded, lol (stoned)

if you're bleeding the air that the MAF read, that means it's adding the amount of fuel for the amount of air it read, since there is less air then actually read, that means there is more fuel, thus running richer....... I'm trying to ask if that's what you're saying.

and PM me this is a for sale thread.

the engine adjust fuel according to the MAF yes but the fuel cut defenser bleeds the air of the MAP sensor. map sensor its only reading PSI for fuel cut! the MAF adjust the fuel.

I put this info here so other people dont get confuse of the cr running richer with that!

well your explanation is confusing and it still seems that it runs richer, by what you said

I dont think it will fit a v6 mazda 6 cause its got a whole different engine and 2 extra cylinders...I highly doubt that intake will fit between the two

MAF sensor its the sensor in the CAI the one with like 5 wires. the map sensor is in the Intake manifold they are two different sensors.
MAF sensor on the CAI controls the fuel.
MAP sensor on intake manifold its only waiting to read 18 or so psi to send a signal to the ecu to Cut fuel. So no matter what is the MAP sensor in the intake manifold reading, the fuel ratio wont change!
The CP-E EMS takes care of fuel cut by changing the Voltage of that sensor electronically, the ATP FUEL CUT DEFENSER does it manually by bleeding psi to the air!

GET IT?

Ah...thanks man, I wanted it for my GF's car

it came with a SRI when she bought it new, but I think it's a cheaper crap one, because a lot of times the tubing comes loose and I have to readjust it and re-tighten the metal thread around it.

So I wanted to get her a new one. and if that CAI would fit I'd take it.
