Well, I got my Megasquirt engine management system all soldered and reay to go, now I need to hook it up to my car.

Can I buy a wiring diagram for the MSP at the dealer? Or, even better, does anyone have access to one and could send me the pages I need?

I'm pretty sure I just need the page that lists what the wires are that are coming off of the ECU, if anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it...can't wait to test this thing out.

You'll be the first i know of to try the megasquirt on the MSP..GOOD LUCK!

And as far as the wiring goes...Someone here has the pinout...do a search for it.

Yeah, Omaha is Megasquirt crazy so I had to try it lol. Also helps that I have a few local people to go to for help.

megasquirt is like a do it yourself ems, you buy the parts you need from them and then put it together and run it on MS software thats free. alot of people like it on feoa.net. also has controls for methenol, n2o etc.

There is software updates to use the Ford coils so you can get timing control as well.

Well, ignition I have been wondering about also. I still have a lot of things to ask a guy I know here who installed one on his Honda. I am not gonna go crazy with my car since it still has stock internals, just 9-10psi.

As for what MegaSquirt is, the kit is $140 and comes with a printed chip board and all the diodes, resistors, etc that you need to solder it all together yourself. A lot of work, but fun.

Hopefully the person I need to talk to isn't too busy this weekend so I can get some more info.

edit: Thanks for the links to the pinout, when I did a search for it before my search terms must have just sucked, only got like 4 threads to come up.

I just put together a DIY turbo timer from a kit and a DIY electronic boost controller as well (www.jaycar.com.au). I think that I am going to purchase the MS since DSMConvert is unlikely to add complete timing control to his upcoming FTC unit (I already have the DSM AFC) and I would eventually like to have full timing control. I was put off by the fear of the electroncs before, but after the TT and the IEBC I feel much more comfortable now.

Brandon, which MS unit did you purchase? What options did you get it with?

I just got the V2.2 kit for $140 from Glensgarage. For now I am just going to start off with fuel control only.

Looks like it will be this weekend that me and my cousin are going to try to do this. I need to get some sensors (IAT, coolant temp) for MS; I was told it would be better to let it have it's own sensors.
