This is from a French Canada article today where they visited Mazda in Germany for the CX-60. They mentioned that the CX-50 would be coming this fall before the plug-in hybrid CX-90. This is the first I have heard of this so not sure how accurate this is.

Banc d’essai | Mazda CX-60 : pourquoi on s’y intéresse
Cet utilitaire ne fera jamais carrière au Canada, mais la technologie qui l’entoure, oui.

In fact, starting this fall , Mazda will add a first non-rechargeable hybrid engine to the catalog of its current CX-50. This will be followed by a second, more sophisticated and plug-in hybrid in a few months under the e-Skyactiv label. This in-house developed powertrain - read without the input of Toyota, its minority shareholder - has already begun its career in Europe on the all-new CX-60.
Built in the U.S., the CX-50 has nothing to do with the CX-60, which features an entirely new architecture. Nevertheless, the CX-50 will be the first Mazda hybrid to be marketed in North America, starting this fall. However, this engine will not be rechargeable as is currently the case with the CX-60, and the hybrid technology comes from Toyota.
