Seems like Timing Chain Cover issue to me also. My '14 Mazda3 has this issue... Not fixed. Dealer wants $1700 for it 2 yrs ago. I just clean it once in a while and monitor it. No oil on the floor. No worry from me.

Read a story here by someone else. The prior owner installed a device that kept draining battery. The new owner did not know about it. Something to check.

If automakers really believe in lifetime something, they should have lifetime warranty to go with it. The fact is they don't, so don't ever believe it. Do ATF change from time to time.
