What have you done to your Mazda3 today?

The body on that 2008 still looks immaculate! You guys really took care of that car.

    Tyre pressure warning threshold/variance

It may be a good idea to check the spare, just in case

    Warranties

In general, for most people, it's not a good idea to purchase an extended warranty. That price is also pretty ridiculous, especially just for electrical, which is probably for stuff like the infotainment display, instrument cluster, radar cruise, forward facing camera (for lane keep assist and...

    Tyre pressure warning threshold/variance

I have a 2018 CX-9 with a similar TPMS system. On my previous set of summer tires, I had slow leaks in two tires. Normally they're inflated to 37-38 psi. In my case, from what I recall, the low tire pressure warning would trigger around 29-30 psi. I'm not sure if it's any different with the...

Engine does not cool down when parked overnight

They already said that they used a non-contact thermometer to verify the temp. It only feels like "wheel-spinning" because of the extra posts. If you feel like you're being led on, disengage from the conversation. We do have a zero-tolerance policy towards trolling, so if this is a troll...

Can someone please check under the front plate

Here's a pic from my 2018. The underside is indeed slightly textured and unpainted.

Engine does not cool down when parked overnight

*mod hat on* Alright guys, let's cut back on the joking around and see if we can help diagnose this further. *mod hat off* @eggsalad how are your coolant levels? Is the engine oil from the dipstick still hot after the car's been sitting? Any recent work done on the car? Did this happen...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Now that is a nice mod! Very well done! If you're open to providing additional info, I'd love to do this mod myself on my CX-9. I always found it odd that the glove box doesn't have it's own light.

    Class Action Spider Cracking Suit?

I believe the class action suit is for the ghost touch issue. There is a separate Special Service Program (SSPB9) for the spider cracking that extends the warranty on the display. Here is a copy of the letter that was mailed out to affected owners...

2016~2023: CX-9 41K spark plug change, found NGK plugs in the wild

How many kms do you have on the new plugs? $50 CDN for a set is dirt cheap! Any difference that you can feel in engine performance? EDIT: I missed the mileage in the first line of your post lol. 6k kms on the set so far.

Lift Gate Badge held on/in with adhesives or pins?

To add, if one wants to avoid bodywork after removing the pinned emblems, it's possible to buy small vinyl stickers that are colour matched to the paint, to "seal" the holes and reduce the appearance of them.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Heh. I'm a middle-aged man, and this still makes me chuckle a bit.

    2016~2023: CX-9 JB4 installation issues

Hey Antoine, yeah it looks like the pic links are broken. I'm not sure what could have caused this, possibly a change on JB4tech's end? Anyway, I'll either delete or figure out a way to update the images.

Who has changed their transmission fluid?

Let's be clear, there are no absolutes when it comes to this. Especially when we don't have all of the relevant information. The transmission fluid could be fine at 160k kms if the transmission were never abused, if the car never towed anything, if it was driven mildly in a temperate climate...

Lift Gate Badge held on/in with adhesives or pins?

If you don't want to wait for others to reply, the best way to know without first removing the badges is to look for the OEM part numbers of the badges/emblems and then search for pictures using those part numbers. For example, I found the part number for the CX-5 emblem here. Then I did a...

    2016~2023: CX-9 JB4 installation issues

I tried to do it that way too at first. I probably spent an hour or two over two days trying to reach and unplug the connector. It ended up being a lot quicker for me to just pull the front bumper lol

2018 CX-5 making rattle noise (video included)

Besides the engine, what else do you have running? Is your fan running? Heat, or A/C? Is the noise present at engine start-up, or only after the car has been driven? Is it consistent, i.e. always on? Can you tell if the engine's exhaust fan is running? Any modifications or recent work done to...

Clunking noise from driverside front has mechanics stumped

A second opinion wouldn't hurt, as long as you're ok with paying the potential diagnostics fee some places with charge. Just tell them you're looking for a second opinion, and provide as much info as you can regarding the issue you're having and the suggestions provided by your mechanic.
