Just want to make sure both are 2.5L right? Because if your wife has 2.5T then there's no cylinder deactivation for her which might feel smoother.

Most local auto part stores should let you borrow obd2 scanner for free. If you did resolve, the lights should self clear but you might have to drive it a little for the computer to detect. Last, Amazon sells obd2 scanner for $30. Use it and return.

I think I've seen repair video where the mechanic mentioned aftermarket belts can be a pita to install. Maybe it's too tight and it's causing issue?
