Maybe, but if it is it's not too accurate. I was getting weather alerts for areas that were hundreds of miles away. You'd think if they knew my location they could fine tune the reports.
Does your CX-5 have the auto lift gate? Not sure if it was even available in 2016 but there were some problems reported with the liftgates draining the battery. Not sure of what year.
Also anything plugged into USB ports?
Sounds like good advice from CX-9 owner. I always keep an eye on the temp gauge and check coolant overflow tank regularly. Hopefully if it ever happens I will spot it early before it gets worse.
If I take a long trip I will make sure I have a gallon of Mazda coolant in the car along with a...
Sorry, missed the 2016.5 in your title.
Are you the original owner? If so, did this just start? That vehicle is 8 years old, anything happen recently?
If you plan on sticking around add year/model to your profile, makes it easier.
When you post a question to the forum it would be a good idea to add some context.
Like what year is the car, what has been done to it, any aftermarket accessories, etc., etc. etc.
The more info the more the forum can help.
Exactly. I like my 19 GTR, never had a problem and want to keep it. Purchased the extended bumper to bumper warranty from Mazda that will cover for another 5 years/60k miles no deductible.
If the cylinder head cracks they can repair it and in the meantime I will have a loaner/rental.
As far...
Makes sense. I have Sirius/XM but I remember turning off the weather alerts since they were sending alerts from 100+ miles away. Every 2 seconds another alert was popping up.
I wish there was some way to quantify the number of cracked cylinder heads. It might be something like .05% or less but we will never know.
I'd like to see a figure that says X Purchased vs Y Cracked heads. This should include all turbos throughout the product lines.
Mazda knows and they...
No traffic alerts but I'm getting storm alerts again for some reason.
I have the OEM Nav card but it's out of updates. There must be some real-time trigger.
There is no schedule for trans fluid. Good luck getting your Mazda dealer to do it. Best to do it yourself or buy the fluid from dealer and have a Indy shop do it.
I've been fighting with my dealer to do it.
If you don't mind spending a little extra money you should check with a body shop. They can work wonders with cracked plastic. My RX-7 had a crack in the front bumper and they repaired it as good as new. Could never tell there was a crack and it was pretty big.
Doesn't matter where it was bought. If original purchase date was later than today it's still under Powertrain warranty. Take it to Mazda asap and have them check and see if it's still under warranty.
They can pull it up on a computer and see. You might be able to call & give them your VIN...
Is the car still under Powertrain warranty? That's 5yr/60,000 miles.
How many miles? I'd be surprised to see a drive belt crack that early.
Not sure but Powertrain (if still in force) should cover the timing cover. Check with Mazda.
You can also get a bumper-2-bumper warranty that covers everything the factory warranty does for 5yrs/60k miles past wherever you are when you purchase the warranty. So if you're at 50k and 5 years in you will now have another 5 years and 60k miles more.
This is through Mazda Finance.
