My car has begun to to sound extremely farty and diesel-like for the first few minutes after starting up. Then when the car is warm, it goes away. Any ideas what the cause could be?

new rad cap? I had boilover problems and it was the rad cap.

im happy with my exedy. i took the opportunity to have a lighter flywheel installed while i was at it, and i like the results.

two front clunks i solved that were not end links: -CV joint in early stages of faliure -dealership installed the inside brake pads on the wrong side, so the anti squeal tabs were facing the wrong way. i have also heard worn engine mounts can cause this.

The facts: -Shocks and springs were used, from some guy with a regular protege. I double checked the part number stamped on the shocks is the same as the ones sold by speedcircuit and crossover. -I almost certainly way overtightened the top mount/piston rod end nut. looked at the torque specs...

hmm. well, that gives me something to think about. obviously more difficult to install. Any pics of an aftermarket coolant temp sensor installed like that on a protege engine?
